Are you looking for something different to do?

Then consider bringing out your inner artist during recreational classes.

You can learn everything from painting landscapes to photographing stunning images.

If this sounds like fun to you, the best schools near our apartments in Glen Burnie include:

Lillie Pad Studios

At Lille Pad, located 11 minutes away, the goal is to offer a fun, yet professional space. It’s dedicated to bringing art awareness to the community and features ceramics, hot glass, and more. The class sizes are small to ensure personalized attention.

The ceramics sessions are offered year-round. They welcome all skill levels, and students learn both wheel and hand-building techniques. After completing a course, you can rent a wheel to work on additional projects.

ArtFarm Studios

When two friends decided to encourage artistic innovation, ArtFarm was born. The studio spans over 3,000 square feet and features a classroom, a large gallery wall, and a stage for the performing arts. Co-founder Allison Harbaugh is a photographer who once captured the Baltimore Ravens in action. She tells stories through her images and enjoys teaching others.

The studio offers several classes, including First Exposure: Digital Photography Workshop. It helps students learn the ins and out of their digital camera. Topics include aperture & ISO, lenses, and creating exposure. ArtFarm Studios is a 21-minute drive away.

Raye of Light

Raye of Light, located a 22-minute drive away, features an intimate studio setting. Owner/instructor Kathy grew up in a creative family. She believes that everyone was born to be an artist and that it’s never too late to learn. When Kathy’s not at the studio, she can be found teaching at Anne Arundel Community College.

Try Beginner Acrylic. Through step-by-step instruction, Kathy helps students create a masterpiece that they can proudly hang on their walls. Both group and private lessons are available.

Art classes are just one of the activities that you can enjoy as a resident of our Millersville apartments. If you’re searching for a place to call home, please contact us. We would love to give you a tour.
